I’m not sure why I like this picture so much.  I was borrowing my brother-in-law’s new lens (Nikon 35mm f/1.8) to see if I could live with a fixed lens, and this bird flew by while we were at the Shamu show.  I spun with it and managed to get it in pretty dang good focus at 1.8 (for some reason the exif shows 1.7, which I find odd).  Anyway, there’s something about the bird that fascinates me.

I cropped it a tiny bit, sharpened, and put a vignette on it because I’m addicted to that right now.  :)

Okay, you knew I couldn’t let a wordless wednesday post go wordless.  I love this picture, and didn’t even realize how cool it would be when I took it…otherwise I would have gotten it square in the frame (I fixed it a bit w/software, but still…damn).
